The Lotus E vora Cup at the Birmingham Motorshow. The mid-engine sports car wears the classic lotus colors yellow and green. The Evora Cup is the second Evora-based racing car after the Type 124 long-distance racer.

In the Evora Cup, 400 hp meet 1,250 kilograms

Behind the seats, the Lotus Evora Cup instead of the standard 3.5-liter V6 with 280 hp, a special racing version with four-liter displacement, dry sump lubrication and a full 400 hp and 400 Nm torque. The V6 is coupled with a sequential six-speed gearbox that can be shifted using a paddle on the steering wheel.

To improve the aerodynamics of the Lotus Evora, the body received a spoiler package made of carbon fiber developed by Dallara. In addition, the Evora has been slimmed down by around 200 kilograms to just under 1,250 kilograms.

To further equip the Lotus Evora Cup include a fully adjustable Eibach chassis, racing ABS, a six-piston brake system on the front axle and all the safety features prescribed by the FIA .

For 2011, Lotus also wants to raise its own brand cup around the Evora. The prize money will be 100,000 euros. The Cup car should be at the Autosalon in Geneva to be shown. The Lotus Evora Cup can already be ordered at prices starting at around 136,000 euros plus taxes.
