N after 2. stations in Asia has the new The Formula E electric racing series made its debut on South American soil last Saturday. In the third race of the season in front of the picturesque beach scenery in the seaside resort of Punta del Este, Uruguay, Sebastien Buemi (eDams Renault) was the first driver to cross the finish line after 31 laps. The Swiss is the 3rd winner in the 3rd race of Formula E.

Vergne fails in the fight for victory

But the Brazilian got off to a better start and took the lead ahead of Vergne, Buemi and Nicolas Prost.

Dusty track makes it difficult for drivers

Jarno Trulli scraped 1.5 seconds past the podium. 4th place is the Italian's best result so far in Formula E. Jaime Alguersuari crossed the finish line in 5th place, followed by Bruno Senna (6th), Nicolas Prost (7th), Jerome d'Ambrosio (8th) and Oriol Servia (9th).

With his victory, Sebastien Buemi took 2nd place in the overall standings (40 points) behind di Grassi (58). The Abt driver has been on the podium in every run so far.
