B a 24h race is worth the foray about the parking and tent sites. Many motorsport enthusiasts on the racetrack is usually synonymous with many beautiful and powerful cars in the parking lots. That's the way it is at the Nürburgring and that's how it is at Le Mans - and maybe a little more exciting and international there. After all, you don't see a Marcos GT from the former British sports car manufacturer every day.

Sports cars and classic cars

The sports car calibers á la Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and McLaren 650S belong there more towards the mainstream. But classic models are also not uncommon in the parking lots around the circuit in Le Mans. At Le Mans, for example, we had an old Corvette C3 Stingray and a BMW M 635 CSi in front of our lenses.

While Porsche, Audi and Toyota competed with hybrid racers in LMP1 on the track , the hybrid technology does not seem to have really caught on with the fans. After all, a BMW i8 driver held up the flag of the hybrid sports car. The rest relied on conventional drive.

The Fiat Multipla does that too. How does one even come to photograph such a car, you might ask. Quite simply: Because this Multipla was not off the shelf. The owner tuned the van a bit. With artificial turf trim, an additional air scoop on the hood, a lighting system on the roof and a spoiler on the roof edge. On top of that, the Fiat Multipla got a few eyebrows, a mirror extension and a horn.

In our photo show we show you the fan cars from Le Mans.
