D he DTM is getting a little slow this year. The final calendar is still not quite ready, but the program for the traditional premiere party is finally in place. As previously leaked, the event is moving from Düsseldorf to Wiesbaden.
DTM show on public roads
On April 18, the engines of the DTM touring cars will be in the Hessian state capital roar when the stars of the scene accelerate on closed streets. Audi and Mercedes will present their cars and of course the drivers will be there to give the fans a good show and to diligently write autographs at the driver parade Wiesbadener Kurhaus and let the tires smoke on the exclusive Wilhelmstrasse. Pit stop demonstrations and spectacular stunt shows should really heat up the mood in the audience. Competitions by the series sponsors and live concerts on the track complete the program.
Extensive DTM program for the fans
“We are looking forward to the premiere of the DTM presentation in Wiesbaden . It will be a very special experience for the audience and us, and that in front of a unique backdrop, ”says Dr. Thomas Betzler, Board Member for Law and Finance at DTM rights holder and marketer ITR e.V.
Of course, the new DTM cars of the 2010 generation will also be presented on this occasion. Due to the development ban, however, fans will have to forego technical innovations. So that there is no boredom, the organizer also wants to show the vehicles from the DTM partner series in action. With the Formula 3 cars, the Porsche Carrera Cup, the Seat Leon Supercopa and the new Volkswagen Scirocco Cup, there should be something for everyone.
Over 200,000 spectators came to Düsseldorf last year. Of course, they don't want to be inferior to that in Wiesbaden. Incidentally, entry to the event is free.
