E s took a little longer for those in charge of the DTM to coordinate the races for 2017 with the track operators. A good week before Christmas, however, the new calendar is set, which the German Motorsport Association (DMSB) and the FIA still have to approve.

8 racetracks, 18 championship races

A lot remains at the old one. The reduced field of drivers with 18 drivers in six Mercedes, BMW and Audi each will fight for 18 victories among themselves. As usual, there will be two runs per weekend. Nothing has changed at the race locations. The DTM is driving on the same terrain in 2017 as it was in 2016. So twice at Hockenheim, as well as at the Lausitzring, in Hungary, at the Norisring, in Russia, in the Netherlands, in Austria and at the Nürburgring.

Only at scheduling has changed a little. The race in Spielberg moves up to the penultimate place on the calendar. In 2016, the races in Austria were held immediately after the season opener. In return, Hungary secured an earlier place. As usual, Hockenheim frames the DTM season, which starts in May and ends in mid-October.
