With Mobilize Limo, the Renault mobility brand Mobilize is presenting its first car model for individual passenger transport using ridehailing and taxi services.
With the Mobilize Limo, the French carmaker Renault wants to participate in the rapidly growing ridehailing market. The Mobilize limousine now presented is intended to combine flexible services with the new mobility needs of users. The world premiere of the Mobilize Limo is at the IAA Mobility in Munich. A test fleet of 40 vehicles will then go into operation.
Tailored for passengers and professional drivers
Mobilize Limo is a four-door, 4.67 meters long, 1.83 meters wide and 1.47 meters high electric powered hatchback sedan, which is specifically aimed at providers of so-called ridehailing services . The model was developed together with Renault's Chinese joint venture partner Jiangling Motors. The dynamic design and the unmistakable LED light signature of the full LED headlights underline the independent character of the Mobilize Limo, as does the extensive comfort and safety equipment. The door handles are embedded flush. 17-inch alloy wheels are in the wheel arches. The wheelbase of 2.75 meters should ensure ample legroom in the rear. The lack of a center tunnel also creates legroom for up to three rear passengers. The wide-opening rear doors ensure easy access. Drinks find their place in a detachable center armrest. Mobile devices can draw power from two USB sockets.,
Inside, the passengers can expect imitation leather seat covers, which should be robust and easy to clean. Ambient lighting that can be adjusted in seven stages ensures a relaxed atmosphere. The rear passengers can regulate these separately, as can the volume of the audio system. On the dashboard, carbon applications frame a 10.25-inch digital cockpit and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen in the center of the dashboard - which of course offers extensive networking options. There is a storage compartment with cooling function between the front seats. A flat 411 liter trunk is available for the luggage of fellow passengers.
Around 400 kilometers range
Ridehailing customers are mobilized by a 110 kW and 220 Nm electric motor. If necessary, the limo can do the zero-hundred sprint in 9.6 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 140 km/h. Three driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) and three levels of brake recuperation are available to adapt the limo to personal preferences. The range according to WLTP is around 400 kilometers. The 60 kWh battery can be charged with all common charging methods. Energy for a range of 250 kilometers can be stored in 40 minutes on the fast charger.
The electric limousine, which is marked with special Mobilize badges, is only available in the paint colors white, gray and black. The safety features include eight airbags and lots of assistance systems. The complete package, which will be available to chauffeur service providers exclusively by subscription from July 2022, includes not only the vehicle but also tailor-made services. However, the French are not yet naming tariffs.,
Conclusion
With the Mobilize Limo, Renault is launching an electric car that is specially tailored to the needs of transport service providers. From July 2022, they can only order the four-door sedan by subscription in combination with various services.
