If you order an MH5 800 Black Edition from Tuner Manhart, you will get over 800 hp in the BMW M5 Competition.
The current BMW M5 has been raging through the segment of sporty power sedans for a good four years. The successor with hybrid motorization is already doing its test laps . Nevertheless, tuner Manhart still sees enough potential in the proven concept to add another M5 version with the MH5 800 Black Edition. ,
V8 with 190 additional hp
The basis for the Black Edition is the M5 Competition with 625 hp and a maximum of 750 Nm torque. Manhart tackles its 4.4-liter V8 in the tried and tested manner. The inlet and outlet sides are sharpened. An upgrade package for the two exhaust gas turbochargers provides more input. But where more goes in, more has to come out. Accordingly, a new stainless steel exhaust system in combination with new manifolds and new catalytic converters creates space for a freer exhaust outlet. The eye of the beholder can delight in the two carbon-coated twin tailpipes. The components, which are optimally matched to one another by means of modified engine control, draw a performance curve on the test bench that culminates at 815 hp. The maximum torque is 1,030 Nm. In this respect, the 800 in the model designation is even an understatement.
Black determines the look
Because a Black Edition has to be black above all, Manhart does without the usual gold-colored adhesive decoration on the body. Only subtle MH5 800 lettering indicates the motoric potency. Black and therefore matching, Manhart has also installed various add-on parts made of visible carbon. The carbon exterior package includes a bonnet with two striking air outlet units, a front spoiler attachment, a rear spoiler lip and a diffuser insert.
In addition, Hamann Anniversary Evo Black Line alloy wheels in 9x21 and 10.5x21 inches rotate in the wheel arches. The matt black multi-spoke wheels are covered with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires measuring 265/30 at the front and 305/25 at the rear. A set of shorter sport springs from H&R generates the appropriate lowering.
On request, Manhart can add carbon shift paddles and special floor mats with Manhart lettering to the cockpit, which is already lavishly equipped with carbon ex works. ,
Conclusion
When the BMW M5 Competition is upgraded to the MH5 800 Black Edition at Tuner Manhart, the color black dominates. Schwarz drivers can also look forward to 815 hp and 1,030 Nm of torque from the 4.4-liter V8 biturbo unit. Sounds like a real understatement hit.
