Manhart Mercedes ER 800: The 800-hp AMG E-Class

The people from Wuppertal cranked up the four-liter V8 in the E-Class to over 800 hp and over 1,000 Nm of torque.

If a powerful sports sedan is to fill the garage, then one or the other will choose the Mercedes-AMG E 63 or its S variant. If the up to 612 hp and 850 Nm of torque from the four-liter V8 biturbo that gallops up from the factory are not enough to satisfy your own dynamic requirements, it is worth going to Tuner Manhart in Wuppertal.

More than 1,000 Nm of torque

Regardless of the basis (E 63 or E 63 S), the tuner tickles a whopping 809 hp and 1,070 Nm of torque from the supercharged eight-cylinder. Tickling includes a turbo upgrade, a new intercooler and a new carbon intake tract. To ensure that the hardware interacts optimally, it is managed by new motor control software. If the Manhart ER 800 is to run outside TÜV territory, sports downpipes with 300-cell catalytic converters can also play in the performance orchestra.

If you are fast, you would like to be able to slow down quickly. Accordingly, Manhart spices up the stoppers on the front axle with a ceramic brake kit. So, 405x38 millimeter discs move into the wheel arches. Before that, Manhart packs its own alloy wheels from the Classic Line. In the dimensions 9x21 and 10.5x21 inches, they are fitted with tires of size 255/30 at the front and 295/25 at the rear. In terms of color design, the customer has the choice. The model wears a satin black finish with gold decoration in the form of a pin stripe on the horn.

The body of the E-Class can be lowered even further so that the rims sit firmly in the wheel arch. This measure also promises more driving dynamics. Manhart achieves the lowering of the air suspension by 20 to 30 millimeters either with new coupling rods or the modified software control.

Only 5 pieces will be built

When it comes to optics, the Manhart ER 800 is reserved. The black painted body is complemented by a black radiator grille. A gold-colored decorative set and the corresponding lettering ensure the typical Manhart look. Everything in the cockpit remains unchanged except for the new floor mats with Manhart lettering.

So if the fast Manhart is supposed to fill your own garage, you have to be fast yourself. The people of Wuppertal only want to issue five copies of the ER 800. However, prices are not mentioned.,
