Jaguar XE Facelift: Handle with care

New front and rear bumpers as well as a new front grille should make the refreshed Jaguar X Make E appear wider and stronger. He also gets new LED lights all around. Part of the improved basic equipment includes new 18-inch rims.

Inside there is the combination of 12.3-inch instrument display and ten-inch infotainment familiar from the purely electrically powered I-Pace -Screen. The upper area of ​​the dashboard, the instrument display, the sides of the center console and the inside of the door are freshly clad, and the door shelves have grown. The multifunction steering wheel is also new and the gear selector lever is modeled on the F-Type.

Camera -Interior mirror and wireless charging

The vehicle system remembers the preferred settings for the exterior mirrors, seat, air conditioning and music system. The new frameless interior mirror, which now also shows the image of a wide-angle camera mounted on the rear, provides a better overview to the rear. And: The XE is the first Jaguar to offer a compartment for wireless charging of suitable smartphones.

Basic versions and manual switches are omitted

The 160 PS basic version of the diesel, the 200 -PS basic variant of the gasoline engine and manual transmission are no longer necessary - the eight-speed automatic is now standard Also included as standard are electrically adjustable seats, the full LED headlights at the front and the full LED taillights, the parking aid for front and rear, the reversing camera, a lane departure warning system and a drowsiness warning system.

Can be ordered from March, deliveries begin in June. The prices do not change, the new entry-level diesel costs from 43,690 euros,the 250 hp entry-level petrol starts at 44,390 euros.
