T he day in Malaysia began with a shock message. At Lotus, a fire had raged in the team pavilion that night. The fire brigade had to move out at three in the morning. The next morning only the remains were to be seen.

It was also hot on the track. In qualifying, the two McLaren drove away from the competition again. Michael Schumacher raced to third place - he hasn't been that good since his comeback. As in Australia, Sebastian Vettel was disappointed in qualification.

Stressed faces at high temperatures

We have all the pictures from the track and the impressions from the Parc Fermé, where the drivers had to park their cars after qualifying. The exertion of work at 32 ° C outside temperature is easy to read from the exhausted facial expressions.

The grid girls in Malaysia didn't look stressed at all. The girls in white made their first appearance on qualifying Saturday. The GP2 drove its first race of the season in the morning. The sign holders were challenged.

Of course we have again hidden interesting shots for fans of Formula 1 technology in our large picture gallery. Have fun clicking through!
