S since 1986 the Formula 1 circus has been a guest every year on the Hungaroring. So there is something to celebrate in 2015: the 30th GP on the 4.381 kilometer circuit near the Hungarian capital Budapest.

Formula 1 racers made from wooden pallets for the anniversary

For the anniversary the track operators had a special F1 car built in the paddock: used slicks were attached to a few wooden pallets, and flowers and bushes grew out of their rims. Behind the cockpit there is no engine in the wood burner, but grass. The rear wing is decorated with pictures of former and current Formula 1 heroes: Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Co.

In the pits the mechanics worked on the last details about the cars to get ready for scrutineering in the afternoon. In the meantime, the pilots gradually rolled in. In the morning, the Toro Rosso youngsters Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen inspected the course before Sebastian Vettel and his Ferrari crew set off.

In our picture gallery we have current impressions from Thursday from Hungary .
