6 .350 kilometers in three days - the formula 1 circus has now arrived in Malaysia after kicking off in Melbourne. There was already a lot of activity on the Sepang International Circuit on Wednesday. This week everything had to go a little faster than usual. Back-to-back races within a week are already used in Formula 1. But the sprint from continent to continent is always particularly arduous at the start of the season.

The processes are not as well established as they are later in the season. The infrastructure in Malaysia is also not ideal. Worst of all, however, are the tropical temperatures, which cause problems for all construction workers. The mercury was at 35 ° C on Wednesday over midday. The clothes hardly stayed dry for long. Fittingly, a promo shipment of shampoo and deodorant from the main sponsor had just arrived at Lotus.

Formula 1 presents logistical ballet

However, a race was out of the question on Wednesday. The air freight containers were still stacked on the home straight. The mechanics performed a perfectly choreographed ballet with forklifts. Formula 1 presented itself like a well-oiled machine two days before the first free practice session.

The cars had also already arrived in the garages. Some teams like Red Bull barricaded themselves behind partitions. Others provided deeper insights. Of course we went on the hunt for the most interesting motifs with the camera in order to provide you with the first technical pictures and track impressions.
