D he Formula 1 season is already as good as gone. Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull have already closed the bag in India. The other teams are of little interest. They are still fighting for their own trophies. That is why new parts could be seen on the cars in Abu Dhabi - even if only details.

New parts at Ferrari

Fernando Alonso drove at Ferrari Swing wings as we suspected on Thursday. A lot of Flowviz paint was visible on the Spaniard's car, which should help with the evaluation of the new aero trick. In the second training session, Felipe Massa tested the new part. Lotus is also breaking new ground in the battle for second place in the constructors' championship. Kimi Räikkönen was riding the E21 with the short wheelbase in the first training session.

When looking at the timesheet, there was a little variety offered. Romain Grosjean took over from Sebastian Vettel at the top for once and dominated the first training session in the afternoon. But it didn't take long before the world champion reported back. In training 2 he was again the front runner.

As always, the backdrop of the imposing Yas Marina Circuit provided great pictures. In the second training session, the Formula 1 drivers drove at dusk and under floodlights.
