D he German Formula 1 fans have to get used to it. In 2016, Nico Hülkenberg will no longer race across the asphalt with the orange-red helmet design that has been used for years, but in a completely new look. The Force India pilot has now delivered a little foretaste via Twitter.

Hülkenberg helmet in Hulk design

The new head protection, which apparently only recently came from the paint shop of the well-known helmet designer Jens Munser came, now shines in a bright green that merges into a no less noticeable neon yellow on the back. Although you can only see 2 letters in the first sneak preview photo, Hülkenberg's nickname 'Hulk' is apparently immortalized on it.

Since last season, changing helmet designs within a Formula 1 year has been prohibited. Therefore, some pilots will probably use the winter break to make major changes to the look. It will be interesting to see how well the two Force India pilots can be distinguished from a distance in the TV picture. Sergio Perez also traditionally wears a large proportion of green and yellow on his helmet.

In the gallery we once again show you the various helmets by Nico Hülkenberg since he joined Formula BMW in 2005.
