Z Michael Michael Schumacher’ this season not often yet. But the last two races give the Germans another positive feeling. With 20 points from Japan and Korea, Schumi should have secured ninth place in the drivers' championship. This puts him just one place behind his team-mate Nico Rosberg, which doesn't look as bad as it did in earlier phases of the season.

Schumacher impresses with his team

'The season is slowly coming to an end and I have to say, I am impressed how our boys have mastered it, especially in the last few races,' said Michael Schumacher, praising his team. 'Although we didn't take any major steps in development, we had promising performances.'

The record champion is also optimistic about his return to Sao Paulo. Here he has already won the trophy four times. 'The characteristics of the Interlagos circuit are roughly similar to the characteristics of the last racetracks, so we can be very confident for Brazil,' explained Schumi. 'Our fighting spirit is not weakening and we want to end the season with positive results, so I'm looking forward to Sao Paulo and another result that I can be satisfied with.'

Ross Brawn optimistic about the season finale

Team boss Ross Brawn also sounded a bit more optimistic again after his Silver Arrows were noticeably more competitive in the last few races. 'We have achieved a number of good results in the previous races, measured by the performance of our technical package. I am confident that we can continue this trend in the last two races of the season. Of course we are not satisfied with that and we are working hard to ensure that we'll be back where we want to be next year - in the battle for race wins. '
