D he fans in Brazil got on Sunday (15.11 .2015) the same picture as delivered in Mexico. On the podium, Nico Rosberg cheered at the top, alongside Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel. This makes Rosberg Vice World Champion. Overall, it is the fifth victory of the season for Rosberg and the eleventh double victory for Mercedes this year. Even if the world title has already been taken, Rosberg is currently setting off its own fireworks. He poured Hamilton 7.7 seconds in the end.

'It was a great weekend,' said Rosberg. 'Qualifying worked. That's half the battle on such a weekend. I had the speed in the race. I always accelerated before the pit stops to make a safe pit stop. But everything is relative to the tragedy in Paris . '

Dominance of Rosberg over 71 laps

Rosberg's triumph was never really in danger over 71 laps. Right from the start, he prevailed against his stable rival, even if the first corner was once again tight between the two Silver Arrows. After that, however, because of Rosberg's superiority, it became a rather boring performance for the audience. Overtaking is not easy in the many tight corners of Interlagos.

In the meantime, Hamilton crawled up to the German, but then the gap increased again. Both drivers were using the same strategy and had to change tires three times. It didn't help that Hamilton asked the engineers to change tactics. He didn't manage to win at Interlagos on the ninth attempt either.

'I had the pace, but I couldn't overtake. I love this track, but unfortunately you can't overtake. The DRS zone wasn't long enough 'said Hamilton.

Ferrari cannot keep up

Ferrari had nothing to oppose the Mercedes dominance. That was already announced on Friday when analyzing the long runs. Despite an alternative strategy, Sebastian Vettel did not get past third place and finished 6.4 seconds behind Hamilton.

'I think it was a very good race today,' said Vettel. 'More was not possible. We tried to play with the strategy, but had a lot of traffic. Whenever it mattered, something was missing. We were closer than in some other races. In the last stint I was even one a bit faster, but the leader can do it himselfOf course, also classify. '

Kimi Räikkönen drove a rather unspectacular race behind. The Finn started from fourth place and was flagged in the same position. In contrast to his compatriot, Valtteri Bottas made up two places The Williams driver Nico Hülkenberg took the start on the wing and finished sixth, while the Force India driver caught up with Daniil Kvyat, who had also overtaken him at the start.

Massa swept away Classification taken

The home race originally ended in eighth place for Felipe Massa, but the Brazilian was subsequently taken out of the classification because the temperature in the right rear tire on the starting grid had exceeded the maximum permissible temperature Wiliams wants to appeal. Romain Grosjean scored a few points for Lotus with eighth place.

Max drove in his slipstream Verstappen crossed the finish line in the Toro Rosso. The Dutchman drew attention with courageous overtaking maneuvers and made Sergio Perez look old, among others. Shortly before the end, Pastor Maldonado had to believe in it. Grosjeans team-mate once again didn’t cover himself with fame. He collided with Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson and received a five-second penalty for this.

Together with Grosjean, Perez and Verstappen fought interesting fights on the track. Daniel Ricciardo would certainly have hoped for more from that. Because the Australian did not come any further from the penultimate place than 11. On lap 67 he grabbed Perez.

Sainz already out in the first lap

The McLaren duo Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button looked into the tube again with positions 14 and 15. It hit Carlos Sainz even harder, who initially had to start from the pit lane due to a technical problem and then rolled out again on the first lap.
