D he most Formula 1 teams used the four-week summer break for this to recharge the batteries for the second half of the season. At Red Bull, the vacation looked a little different. The Austrian shower manufacturer's racing team traveled halfway around the world in their free time - with a couple of pilots and a Formula 1 racer in their luggage.

USA, Norway, Denmark, Ukraine, Azerbaijan or Russia - no matter where David Coulthard , Daniel Riccardo and Sebastien Buemi pitched, the fans always got a spectacular show. A few sets of tires were burned during the mandatory burnouts. As usual, Red Bull left clearly visible traces on the asphalt.

Coulthard races through New York, Copenhagen and Baku

David Coulthard's appearance in New York caused a particularly sensation. The Scot rushes under the Hudson River in the specially closed Lincoln Tunnel. In the shadow of the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island, the DTM driver frightened unsuspecting tourists with his V8 racing car. Finally, Coulthard also did a lap on the new Formula 1 street circuit in New Jersey.

With Red Bull, Formula 1 is moving from the racetrack to the city center. At the beginning of August Coulthard made the rather cozy Copenhagen tremble. The 41-year-old was already in Baku in mid-June. The Formula 1 racer blended in perfectly with the futuristic architecture of the capital of Azerbaijan.

We have collected the most spectacular pictures from the Red Bull holiday photo album in our gallery.
