L the fans and teams had to put on the Formula 1 calendar wait for 2013. Now the first provisional dates for the coming season are finally known. The teams were informed by email from Bernie Ecclestone on Saturday in Singapore about the timetable for the next year.
It all starts as expected on March 17th in Melbourne. The appointment had been relatively safe for a few months. The organizers had already started selling tickets and gave the date. As in this season, Formula 1 starts with a one-two punch in Australia and Malaysia within a week.
As in this year, the overseas start will continue in China (April 14) and Bahrain ( 21.4.) Before Formula 1 celebrates the traditional European kick-off in Barcelona (12.5.).
New Jersey new in the Formula 1 calendar 2013
After the classic in Monaco (May 26th), however, we are already on the road again. With Montreal (9.6) and New Jersey (16.6.), North America has two championship points within one week. However, the debut in front of the New York skyline is not certain. Permits and money are still missing. Therefore, the date has not yet been confirmed.
14 days later, the race in Silverstone (June 30th) will continue before Formula 1 comes to Germany (July 21st). It is apparently not yet clear whether the home game of Vettel, Schumi & Co. will take place in Hockenheim or at the Nürburgring. There is still a need to negotiate. The date is therefore not officially fixed.
Some Formula 1 dates still with question marks
One week after the guest appearance in the Green Hell, the 2013 Formula 1 season in Hungary (July 28th) says goodbye to the summer break. As in this year, the pilots will report back from their holidays at the beginning of September in Spa, Belgium. One week later, the last race of the European season will take place in Monza (September 8th).
In a tight overseas program, the decision in the title fight will also be made in 2013. The race in Singapore (September 22nd) is not entirely certain either. After Suzuka (October 6th) comes Korea (October 13th), where things are still wobbly. The last four races in India (October 27th), Abu Dhabi (November 3rd), Austin /Texas (November 17th) and Sao Paulo (November 24th) should, however, be fixed.
Because Valencia will be eliminated in the 2013 season only seven of the 20 races held in Europe. The calendar is to be officially approved on September 28that the FIA World Council.
