E a month before the Grand Prix race, the Hungarian racing fans got it a little foretaste of Formula 1. The Ferrari Racing Days were guests in the Danube metropolis and attracted 15,000 spectators to the Hungaroring. With the best weather, the Ferraristi got a spectacular show.

Vettel turns donuts on the Hungaroring

The big highlight was the appearance by Sebastian Vettel. The newcomer was allowed to do a few laps on the 4.381 kilometer track in F2012. Afterwards, there were pit stop exercises to entertain the fans. And of course a few smoking curls on the asphalt are not missing.

'That was my first public appearance as a Ferrari driver outside of a Grand Prix. I felt the affection of the fans and I am happy to have them entertained with an adrenaline-filled show, 'beamed Vettel after his donuts. By the way, the Heppenheimer already knew Fernando Alonso's former Formula 1 car from the 2012 season from test drives in Fiorano in December.

Ferrari FXX K inspires the masses

Vettel's appearance was not the only highlight for the fans. In addition to the four-time world champion, the Ferrari FXX K attracted most of the attention of cell phone cameras. Several vehicles of the 1,050 PS strong V12 hybrid racer were gathered to do a couple of hot show laps.
