D he Formula 1 moves to the next racetrack . The 20th Grand Prix of the 69th Formula 1 season will take place in Brazil next weekend. The world champion has already been determined. Lewis Hamilton has defended his title. In Brazil, Mercedes could bag the team championship title for the fifth time in a row. In order to postpone the awarding of the title to the last race of the season, Ferrari would have to catch up 13 points.

Before things get down to business in Interlagos, the paddock, pit lane and track still have to be prepared. On Wednesday, the pit lane in particular still looks like a construction site. The Mercedes-AMG GT R is parked right in front of the FIA garage. Behind the safety car, three craftsmen scramble on two ladders to hang up the banner of the World Motorsport Federation.

Little or nothing can be seen of the Formula 1 cars. As usual, the teams hide them behind partitions on a Wednesday. We see parts of the left side of the vehicle from Max Verstappen's Red Bull. A wall has slipped. Fernando Alonso's McLaren MCL33 shows the left wheel carrier. And one of the two Force India shows his airbox.

Interlagos is holding a Grand Prix for the 36th time in its history - continuously since 1990. Formula 1 made ten appearances in Rio. Mostly in the 1980s. The racetrack in Sao Paulo is named after José Carlos Pace. The man who won his only Formula 1 race in Interlagos in 1975 and died two years later in a plane crash.

In our photo show we show you the first impressions from Sao Paulo.
