L ewis Hamilton is now on one Level with Jim Clark and Alain Prost. His 57th GP victory was the fifth at the British GP. All scored on the former Silverstone aerodrome course. It was a flawless performance with a start /finish win, pole position and the fastest lap.

Even after his super lap in training, the fans forgave him for skipping the big Formula 1 event in London. The grade? No question about it, Hamilton deserves the 10th.

Everything else pales against the Silverstone champions. Valtteri Bottas and Daniel Ricciardo made a great race to catch up, but one of them failed during training, the other once got off the track during the race. Ricciardo: 'I was a little too greedy'. The Ferrari drivers were punished with punctured tires for their high speed. This time Kimi Raikkonen outshone Sebastian Vettel.

Hülkenberg confirms training in the race

Max Verstappen finally saw the checkered flag again. The Dutchman drove a flawless race. Like Raikkonen. That gives them a grade of 9. Nico Hülkenberg also earned the second best mark. Finally, the Renault ran as well in the race as it did in practice. And already Hülkenberg was there in 6th place. It should have been 10 in his league, but that would devalue the superstar Hamilton. This time the top grade was reserved for the crowd's darling.
