L ewis Hamilton may have to write off the World Cup. With six races to go, he is 52 points short of Fernando Alonso. The failure was the undeserved end of a weekend that had gone according to plan. The three-time winner of the season had outclassed the competition in training. In the race he led until the 22nd lap. Then the power transmission gave up its ghost. According to McLaren, that had nothing to do with Saturday's kiss on the wall. You can't blame the driver for that. Hamilton earned the '10' in Singapore.

Schumacher with a crash hat trick in Singapore

Sebastian Vettel only had a small hangover. In all free practice sessions, in Q1 and Q2 and in the first 22 laps of the race, he drove on a par with Hamilton. Only in Q3 it didn't work out, and no one at Red Bull could say why. Therefore there was a note deduction.

Michael Schumacher delivered the third crash in his third Singapore race. Unfortunately that was nothing. Even if Schumacher could expect that Jean-Eric Vergne should have turned into the curve long ago. There is nothing more than grade 3 in it.

Timo Glock earned a '7' for this. If he hadn't brushed the wall with his Marussia on lap eight, the rating would have been one grade better.
