S ebastian Vettel got a smooth finish despite second place in the qualification Ten. Red Bull had concentrated on the race and thus surrendered pole to McLaren for the first time this year. In the race, Vettel drove like a world champion and even surprised his team.

Lewis Hamilton ended his black series with a clear sign of life. He also earned the top grade for his courageous and fair fight with Webber.

Button and Alonso not as fast as usual

Not all pilots could shine as Vettel and Hamilton . Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso could not keep up with their teammates' pace. With places four and five, however, both were able to limit the damage.

Vitaly Petrov found himself at the lower end of the grading scale. Although the Renault driver had his team-mate Bruno Senna under control the whole weekend, a big brake not only tore him but also Michael Schumacher out of the race.
