S It's a shame that we weren't allowed to give Pirelli a grade this time. That would have been easy. We had more problems with the grading with the drivers. Lewis Hamilton was the only one in the field to earn the top grade. The Englishman didn't do anything wrong. He put his Mercedes on the best grid position by a huge margin, lost the lead due to a blown tire and finished fourth.

Slight deduction for winner Rosberg

Sebastian Vettel had it easier until his retirement. The Red Bull driver followed Hamilton in a two-second gap and then controlled the inherited lead in front of Nico Rosberg. He was also not to blame for the gearbox damage. Like Rosberg, he got the grade 9. At Rosberg there is a point deduction because Hamilton was faster across the board.

The Ferrari drivers also qualified for the second-best mark. Fernando Alonso for his overtaking maneuvers. And Felipe Massa for his super start and his race to catch up. Both were better than their cars.
