D he Formula 1 has finally arrived in China. While there was a yawning emptiness in the grandstands in Shanghai, the fans are now showing real enthusiasm. The audience cheers for their idols with flags and elaborate disguise. Not because of Formula 1 in crisis.

The photographers are also happy about the new enthusiasm. Because of constant smog and regular showers, China has so far been in the lower range of the Grand Prix popularity scale among visual artists. But with full grandstands and real emotions, the job is twice as much fun
The celebrities also showed up in Shanghai. With Fan Bing Bing, one of the biggest film stars in China came to the track. auto motor und sport photographer Daniel Reinhard suggested playing ping-pong with Bing Bing or eating TicTac. We then had to explain to the prankster that we would not tolerate cheap jokes about funny names here.
