D ie' Bild 'newspaper writes that the formula 1 is boring when the same drivers are always on the podium. Statisticians would contradict this representation, however. After all, the eerie Mercedes series of successes ensures a lot of interesting records. Neutral fans of numbers are currently getting their money's worth.

Mercedes continues with a perfect podium result

The Silver Arrows continued their perfect podium result in Silverstone. In the 9 races of this season, 18 trophies have already been shown in the showcases of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. More is not possible. It looks similar in the points balance. The two Mercedes stars have recorded 371 of a possible 387 World Championship points. That is almost 96 percent.

There has never been such a high value shortly before half-time. This means that the silver dominance is even greater than in the previous year. At that time, Hamilton and Rosberg secured almost 86 percent of all possible points.

Incidentally, with his 46th pole position, world champion Hamilton has now also overtaken Sebastian Vettel in the eternal statistics. The Englishman now only has Ayrton Senna (65) and Michael Schumacher (68) ahead of him.

In other record lists, Hamilton was also able to outdo Kimi Räikkönen and Jackie Stewart. We'll tell you what it is in our Crazy Stats in the picture gallery.
