I on the stand, the four cylinders are not tackling in a sporty way down. A step on the gas corrects this impression, because the 220 HP of the two-liter engine pulls the VW Scirocco in 6.3 seconds to 100 km /h and further up to a top speed of 246 km /h. The turbo direct injection with a torque of 350 Newton meters belongs to the latest generation of VW four-cylinder engines, which meet the Euro 6 standard and are equipped with an automatic start-stop system as standard. All six engine variants are still produced in Lisbon.

The basic version of the VW Scirocco costs 28,525 euros

In addition to the innovation under the hood, the exterior has also been slightly modified. This can be recognized by the standard LED taillights and the optional bi-xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights and LED daytime running lights (1,215 euros). Inside, as a homage to the original Scirocco, displays for boost pressure, oil temperature and a stopwatch complement the instruments. Base price of the manual version: 28,525 euros. The list of extras is long, however, and a few ticks in the configurator quickly bring the price of the VW Scirocco to 40,000 euros.

In terms of driving dynamics, the driven VW Scirocco benefits from the electronic differential lock (205 euros), which causes understeer almost completely prevented, and the 235/35-R-19 tires (1,190 euros), which build up high mechanical grip. The result: an athlete who is hardly disturbed by anything.
