D he RS3 was one of the first Audi models to be converted to the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard. This required the installation of a gasoline particle filter (OPF), which prevents the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo from breathing freely. Nevertheless, the changeover in the production model went without any loss of power or torque: It continues to deliver 400 hp, a maximum of 480 Newton meters distributed over all four wheels, accelerates from zero to one hundred in 4.1 seconds and drives a maximum of 250 km /h.
A little weaker and slower than before
House tuner Abt Sportsline doesn't quite succeed in this feat. While the RS3, pumped up via an additional control unit and with a new intercooler, still produced 500 hp without OPF and drove up to 300 km /h, the data sheet now has 470 hp, a top speed of 285 km /h and a maximum of 540 Newton meters. The zero-to-one hundred value is 3.8 seconds, the predecessor was a tenth of a second faster. Incidentally, those who do without the intercooler receive 440 hp and a maximum of 520 Newton meters. Previously, 460 hp were announced here.
However, it is quite possible that the Abt RS3 will soon achieve its usual performance. Soon a stainless steel silencer system from the front silencer will find its way into the Abt range. It ends in four black chrome-plated tailpipes with a diameter of 102 millimeters each.
Abt Audi RS3 also optically aggressive
Visually, the tuned compact offers a package price of 19,100 euros (including assembly and TÜV ) an aerodynamic set with front grille and front lip attachment as well as rear apron cover. For an extra 653 euros there are fender inserts in front of the A-pillars. On the chassis side, Abt customers have two options with the Audi RS3: Either in thePackage included spring set with sport stabilizers front and rear or a coilover sport suspension with adjustable rebound and compression levels, which is expensive. The brake kit with 380 discs is again included in the package price.
The same applies to the 8.5 x 20 inch rims in GR design, which have 235/30 ZR20 tires all around and either are painted in gloss or matt black. Solvent driving dynamics fetishists, on the other hand, use ER-F forged rims in 9 x 19 inches with 235/35 R19 tires. Cost: 10,200 euros. The photo vehicle, on the other hand, has the 19-inch ER-C rim, and the FR design is still available for the RS3.
The basic package for the interior (with floor mats, emblems, door sills , Gear knob badge and door entry lighting with Abt logo) can be upgraded for 4,510 euros with partial leather seats and a leather steering wheel, dashboard and seat frame covers with a carbon finish. The seat back shells are also made from the lightweight material for a further 2,790 euros.
