The base engine with 163 hp is converted to the same bi-turbo technology like the more powerful version. Compared to the previous monoturbo, the performance remains the same, but the torque increases by 22 to 425 Newton meters. The compression ratio has been reduced from 15.4: 1 to 15.1: 1 and the injection pressure has been increased from 2,000 to 2,200 bar thanks to a new pump. The cooling system has also been revised. The engines meet the EU 6d-Temp standard and have an SCR catalytic converter.
Another innovation: All around Disc brakes on all models with larger front brake discs and a new gearbox. The six-speed manual gearbox is said to have shorter gearshift travel and better synchronization than before to increase gearshift comfort and precision, and the gear ratio has been adjusted for lower motorway speeds. The rear suspension has been raised by 25 millimeters, which is not a small amount and, in addition to the ground clearance, also improves the rear approach angle.
