D he new Citroën Berlingo in panel van trim comes in two different vehicle lengths on the market. The M version measures 4.40 meters and the XL version 4.75 meters. There are also two equipment variants to choose from: worker and driver. As the name suggests, the worker, with up to three seats in the first row and the elevation by three centimeters, should meet more robust requirements, while the driver can be used as a moving office.
Tailgate or wing doors
From the outside, the new Citroën Berlingo panel van differs from its predecessor primarily through the more forward-facing windshield and the higher and shorter front end. Access to the cargo space, which has a capacity of up to 4,400 liters, is provided either by a tailgate or by two side-opening wing doors. The payload is 650 to 1,000 kilograms, depending on the size. The maximum trailer load is 1,500 kilograms. Thanks to the unchanged internal width between the wheel arches (1.23 m), up to two Euro slats can be transported.
Citroën Berlingo is based on EMP2 platform
The French based on the new EMP2 platform comes onto the market with a 110 hp petrol engine in combination with a six-speed manual transmission and a 130 hp petrol engine with an eight-speed automatic. As far as the diesel engines are concerned, there is a choice of four variants from 75 to 130 hp with manual transmission (BlueHDi 75, BlueHDi 100, BlueHDi 100 Stop & Start, Blue HDi 130 Stop & Start) or eight-speed automatic transmission (BlueHdi 130 Stop & Start). All engines meet theEmission standard Euro 6d-Temp.
Twenty driver assistance systems
The Citroën Berlingo panel van comes onto the market with four connectivity technologies and twenty driver assistance systems. These include an overload display that informs the driver when the maximum load is exceeded, surround rear vision, an active cruise control and limiter with braking function and an active lane departure warning system. Smartphones can also be charged inductively via a charging cradle in the center console.
