Deutsche Post AG temporarily shuts down 460 street scooters

In two internal letters from the magazine Deutsche Post AG can be read that the fires each started from the battery and could be traced back to a connection weld in the traction batteries that was not carried out by the upstream supplier. The 460 vehicles, which have now been withdrawn from the traffic, should only be allowed to continue after a thorough inspection. The fact that Deutsche Post AG is still convinced that the street scooter is and will remain a safe electric vehicle is shown not least by the prospect of increasing the vehicle fleet from 9,000 to 15,000 units this year.
