O For many contemporaries, ldtimers must look like the treasures on the first pictures of the photo gallery. No weather protection, aerodynamics a foreign word from aircraft construction, narrow tires, large lamps - and unfortunately also mostly brakes, which at least require foresighted handling. At least ten of the most varied of origins, built before the war, will conquer the demanding routes of the Silvretta Classic. Among them the oldest vehicle in the field, a French Rally AZ from 1924, followed by the hardly more powerful Fiat 520 Competizione.

For the 60th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, two examples of the small convertible enrich the field of participants. One of them is a production car converted to an SLR, driven by Ellen Lohr with starting number 12. Also belonging to the exotic category: A British Allard J2 Le Mans, with starting number 16, before that a Chrysler Windsor, despite the English name of American origin. They face the superiority of the 18 Mercedes SLs and 16 Porsche 911s as well as the three Opel Rekord from the Opel Classic team and the Citroën SM as a convertible (start number 89). Cars like the 3 Series BMW or the Beetle then hold up the flag of the everyday classics, supported by the Volvos 144 and 244 and a VW Scirocco.

In the gallery you can see the participants with starting numbers 1 to 50 The starting list for the Silvretta Classic can be found as a PDF download at the end of the page.
