2 013 the Paul Pietsch Classic will take place again. The namesake of the rally came from Freiburg im Breisgau and was an internationally successful racing driver. After the war, he founded the car magazine 'Das Auto' in his hometown, from which later auto motor und sport and the publishing house of Motor Presse Stuttgart emerged.

Classics approved until 1993

The move to the state metropolis took place in 1950. Pietsch died in 2012 at the age of 100 in Titisee-Neustadt, which, like Freiburg, is one of the most famous Black Forest communities.

In memory of Paul Pietsch, the classic car rally, which was held from June 14th to 15th, 2013 leads over little-traveled mountain stretches and scenic routes through the Black Forest and the Ortenau upstream of the Rhine.

Oldtimers and youngtimers built up to 1993 are permitted. The number of participants is limited to 102 and corresponds to the age that Paul Pietsch would have reached in 2013.

The participation fee for two people plus a car is 1,250 euros (with meals, without overnight stay). More information and precise information on the starting point and route will shortly be available at www.pietsch-classic.de
