N Buying a Jaguar E-type is no longer possible. But financially strong customers will soon be able to buy “new” sports cars again, because Jaguar has included the legendary classic in its reborn program.
As part of the reborn program, the car manufacturer buys old Jaguar models and relocates them in his factory classic department according to exact factory specifications in absolutely new and original condition. Now also the E-Type. It is rebuilt according to information from the delivery lists with all vehicle data and original drawings from the archive of the Jaguar Heritage Trust. The new builds follow the principle that as many original parts as possible in a reborn car are kept or that they are rebuilt according to original work processes and specifications.
The inventory of restored E-Type models currently amounts to ten vehicles. The first E-Type Reborn - a Series I Fixed Head Coupé 4.2 from 1965 - celebrates its world premiere at the Techno Classica in Essen. The prices for a new old Jaguar E-Type should be around 285,000 pounds (around 330,000 euros).
