Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole up to 255 km /h
Initially a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS the private detective's company car. Magnum later switched to a 1980 308 GTSi. In the middle of the fourth season he got the Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole from 1984. The mid-engine sports car in Rossa Corsa is powered by a V8 with a 90 degree bank angle, three liters of displacement and four valves per cylinder (hence the name). The engine develops around 240 hp at 7,000 rpm and loads the drive shafts with 265 Nm. Top speed: 255 km /h. Empty weight: 1,286 kilograms.
After its TV career, the two-seater with Targa roof construction initially went back to Ferrari North America, where the sports car is said to have been repainted and refurbished. Sold as a demonstration car, the Ferrari delighted its first civilian owner. The TV star was later sold on again. Overall, the Ferrari offered by Bonhams has 308 GTS Quattrovalvole pedaled about 36,000 miles. That corresponds to less than 60,000 kilometers.

Sold for 169,000 euros
Except for a few small eyesores in the paint, the 308 GTS Quattrovalvole is over the last well preserved for three decades. The light brown leather interior has been re-colored. The last service was carried out in 2015. Bonhams envisioned an auction price of between 140,000 and 240,000 euros. The hammer finally fell at the equivalent of 169,000 euros. There is also an undisclosed premium for the auction house.
