Alpina now has the classic wheel with 20 spokes in 16 inches again in its range. The rim fits on the BMW E30.
Since the first appearance on the BMW 3.0 CSL in 1971, Alpina's 20-spoke wheels have been typical of the brand from Buchloe. Over time, the filigree design of the light-alloy wheels became a classic and distinguishing feature of Alpina cars. Now the classic is available again in 16 inches - suitable for the BMW 3 Series E30.
New edition of the rim classic
Together with the rim manufacturer Ronal, Alpina has once again reissued the wheel for the E30. To do this, "tools had to be adapted or newly developed," explains the BMW refiner. After all, the original bike appeared 29 years ago. In the meantime, production processes and procedures have changed in some cases.
Typical of the filigree wheels is the lockable cover, which is milled from aluminum and features the Alpina logo. Unlike modern variants of the rim, however, the valve is not located under this cover, but in the classic way on the rim wheel. The wheels for the front axle are seven inches wide and those for the rear axle are eight inches. The set costs 2,990 euros.
